Dubai Desert and Adventure Tour Package :5 Nights
Tour Overview
Dubai · Red Dunes · Sky Views · Adventure Experiences — 5 Nights
A Dubai desert and adventure tour from India that runs six days and five nights from one comfortable, value-priced 3-star base, built around two real outings - a desert morning of dune-bashing, quad biking and sandboarding, and a full mountain day kayaking the dam and hiking the viewpoints at Hatta - with old Dubai and the Dubai Frame in between. The adventure is the point; the costly adrenaline icons like the Marina zipline and skydiving stay optional, so the base stays light. It is a land package, so your international flight is booked separately. Best enjoyed November to March, when the desert and the mountains are at their kindest. Tell us your travel dates and we will build the quote around them.
Key features of this package
Itinerary — day by day
DAY 01
Arrive Dubai, the Marina and JBR beach
Airport pickup - check in - easy first eveninDUBAI
Arrive Dubai, the Marina and JBR beach
Airport pickup - check in - easy first evenin
- ARRIVAL
- Private car meets you at Dubai airport and runs you to your hotel, about 30 to 50 min depending on where you stay.
- SETTLE IN EASY
- Keep the first evening light before two big adventure days - a walk along the Marina and JBR beachfront, feet in the sand.
- EARLY NIGHT
- The desert pickup tomorrow is before the midday heat, so turn in - you will want the energy.
Well-Connected Dubai, 3-Star
5 nights - Breakfast - Value 3-star, good links
- One base, five nights A comfortable 3-star double room with a double bed and breakfast, priced per person, two adults to the room. You unpack once and stay put across both adventure days.
- Why this base Because the desert and Hatta days are spent out of the city and both tours pick up from the hotel, we put you in a comfortable, well-connected 3-star in a value neighbourhood rather than the pricier centre. It keeps the cost down without changing what you came to do.
- Meals here Breakfast every morning. No dinner is included on any night of this package. Lunch and dinner are yours to choose, and there is easy vegetarian and Indian food all around.
- Being straight with you Rates are highest in winter, which is also the best weather for the desert and Hatta. We quote the real figure for your dates rather than a headline that moves under you.
Dubai Airport to Your Hotel
Private car, about 30 to 50 min
- Private car on arrival Met at Dubai airport and driven to your hotel, about 30 to 50 min depending on the area and traffic. The driver tracks your flight, so a late landing is fine.
- One leg, no change You check in once and stay put, so there is no second transfer on arrival night.
- Both ways included The airport transfer is costed both ways - arrival and departure - even though they fall on different days.
The Desert Adventure
Dune-bashing - quad bike - sandboarding
- Dune-bashing A 4x4 run over the Lahbab red dunes with the operator's driver - the roller-coaster part of the desert.
- Quad bike and sandboarding Your own quad ride on the flats and a go at sandboarding down the slopes. This is the active daytime safari.
- No meal here This run carries no meal, which keeps it in the base price. The evening camp with the BBQ and show is a separate paid add-on, because it comes with a dinner.
- Why it is included The desert is the reason many people come to Dubai, so it belongs in the package, not at the upsell counter.
DAY 02
Desert adventure - dune-bash, quad, sandboard
4x4 pickup - dunes - quad bike - no mealDUBAI
Desert adventure - dune-bash, quad, sandboard
4x4 pickup - dunes - quad bike - no meal
- PICKUP
- A 4x4 collects you from the hotel, about 45 min out to the Lahbab red dunes before the sand turns to furnace.
- DUNE-BASHING AND QUAD
- A proper dune-bash in the 4x4, then a quad-bike ride and sandboarding on the slopes. This is the active, daytime run, not the sit-down camp.
- BACK BY AFTERNOON
- Dropped at the hotel to clean up and rest - the Hatta mountain day is tomorrow.
4-Star Marina, or a 5-Star Beach Base
Quoted before you pay - requested, never promised
- Step up to 4-star Marina A smarter room in the Marina or Barsha, closer to the beach and the nightlife, a short hop from the zipline if you add it. The jump in rate is real and we quote it rather than printing it.
- Or a 5-star beach base A JBR or Palm resort for a waterfront stay, with the adventure days still picking up from the door.
- Room requests A high floor, a sea or Marina view, a double bed rather than two singles, a late check-out. All passed to the property as requests, none confirmed in advance, and we will not tell you otherwise.
- How this works Any upgrade raises the package price and we show you the new total, not a headline that stays the same.
Desert 4x4 and the Hatta Drive
Hotel pickup both days - no self-driving
- Desert day A 4x4 collects you from the hotel, about 45 min out to the Lahbab dunes, and drops you back in the afternoon. The dune-bashing is done by the operator's driver, not you.
- Hatta day A vehicle for the 90 min to 2 hr run out to the mountains and back, timed so you are on the dam water in the better morning light.
- How they run Both are shared or private depending on your group size, confirmed in the quotation. A private vehicle for either day is quoted on request if you want your own pace.
The Hatta Mountain Day
Dam kayaking - viewpoints - the valley
- Kayaking the dam Paddle the calm turquoise water of the Hatta Dam between the peaks - stable, beginner-friendly kayaks, no experience needed.
- Viewpoints The Hatta Dam lookout and the valley views, the mountain counterpoint to the flat desert of the day before.
- A full day out It is a 90 min to 2 hr drive each way, so this fills the day - the scenery on the road is part of it.
- Why it is included Hatta is the piece most Dubai packages skip. It is what makes this an adventure trip and not just a city break.
DAY 03
Hatta full day - kayaking and the mountains
Drive to Hatta - dam kayak - viewpointsDUBAI
Hatta full day - kayaking and the mountains
Drive to Hatta - dam kayak - viewpoints
- DRIVE OUT
- Hatta is a mountain exclave of Dubai, about 90 min to 2 hrs by road - the scenery turns from flat sand to proper rock on the way.
- KAYAK THE DAM
- Paddle the still turquoise water of the Hatta Dam between the peaks - calm, beginner-friendly, and the cool highlight of the trip.
- VIEWPOINTS AND VALLEY
- The Hatta Dam viewpoint and the valley lookouts, then the drive back to the city by evening.
Why There Is No Attraction Pass Here
We priced it - an adventure trip does not use one
- What we checked The Dubai attraction combo passes - the Go Dubai and iVenture type - against what this adventure trip actually uses.
- It loses Your paid days are the desert, Hatta and the Frame - activity tickets, not the big-tower and aquarium entries a pass is built around. So a pass costs far more than it saves here.
- Where it flips Add Burj Khalifa, the aquarium and a waterpark on your free day and a pass can start to pay. If you want that, ask us to re-run the sums rather than assuming.
- Getting around A Nol card covers the metro, tram and abra cheaply on your free day; the included tours carry their own transport.
Old Dubai and the Frame
Creek - souks - abra - the Dubai Frame
- Half-day city tour A guided run through old Dubai - the Creek, Al Fahidi and the Gold and Spice souks in Deira - so you see the city's roots, not just its towers.
- The abra A one-dirham wooden-boat crossing of the Creek, the cheapest and oldest ride in Dubai.
- The Dubai Frame Entry to the giant golden frame, with the glass walkway and old and new Dubai on either side.
DAY 04
Old Dubai city tour, then the Dubai Frame
Creek - souks - abra - the FrameDUBAI
Old Dubai city tour, then the Dubai Frame
Creek - souks - abra - the Frame
- HALF-DAY CITY TOUR
- A guided run through old Dubai - the Creek, Al Fahidi's lanes, and the Gold and Spice souks in Deira.
- ACROSS THE CREEK
- A one-dirham abra ride over the water, the oldest and cheapest boat trip in the city.
- THE DUBAI FRAME
- Up the giant golden frame between old and new Dubai, with the glass walkway and the two skylines on either side.
Hotel to Dubai Airport
Private car, timed to your flight
- Private car out Collected from the hotel and driven to Dubai airport, timed to your flight with a buffer for the drive.
- Allow for the airport Dubai airport is large and strict on gate times. For a daytime flight, leave the city about three and a half hours ahead.
The Big Adrenaline, and What It Costs You
Each one priced in your quotation, not here
- XLine Marina zipline The world's longest urban zipline, racing down over the Marina water between the towers. The single most-remembered add-on.
- Skydive Dubai A tandem jump over the Palm - the big-ticket adrenaline, and priced like it.
- A waterpark day, or a self-drive buggy Aquaventure at Atlantis or Wild Wadi, or your own dune buggy instead of the shared safari.
- How add-ons work An evening BBQ desert safari or a dhow dinner cruise can be added too. Every figure is per person and confirmed in writing before you pay, and adding one raises the total we show you. Anything with a meal, like the evening safari, is an add-on because the base carries no dinner.
DAY 05
Free day, or add the big adrenaline
Your pick - zipline, waterpark or buggyDUBAI
Free day, or add the big adrenaline
Your pick - zipline, waterpark or buggy
- GO BIG
- Add the XLine Marina zipline, a skydive over the Palm, an Aquaventure waterpark day or a self-drive dune buggy - all priced on request.
- OR TAKE IT EASY
- A free day to rest tired legs - the beach, a mall, or a lazy morning before the flight home.
- DECIDE EARLY
- The marquee adrenaline slots sell out in winter, so tell us ahead and we lock them in rather than leaving it to the day.
DAY 06
Last morning, fly home
Checkout - private car to the airportDEPARTURE
Last morning, fly home

- MORNING
- Breakfast and checkout. If the flight is late, leave your bags and fit in a last beach walk or a souvenir run.

Full policy details
Cancellation Policy
- 10 or more calendar days before departure: a 30% cancellation charge applies to the eligible package amount. Choose a 70% refund in USDC or 100% of the eligible amount as Atravelx Travel Credit.
- Less than 10 calendar days before departure: 100% non-refundable. No refund or Travel Credit is ordinarily issued.
- After travel commences, or no-show: non-refundable. No refund or Travel Credit is ordinarily available.
- Days are counted as calendar days to the scheduled departure date, in UTC (Coordinated Universal Time). The timestamp on your written request fixes when Atravelx received it.
- Cancellation requests must be made in writing through an authorised Atravelx channel: your concierge, info@atravelx.com or WhatsApp +91 92500 00511. A phone call alone does not cancel a booking until it is confirmed in writing.
- Quote the booking reference, the lead traveller's name and the services affected. Atravelx may ask for identity or payment verification before acting on a request.
- A reason is not needed to qualify under the 10-day window.
- Cancelling some travellers, rooms, nights or services is a package amendment, not a cancellation. It does not qualify for the 10-day refund or credit on its own, and it can change the per-person price for the remaining travellers.
Atravelx Travel Credit
- Travel Credit is issued as an Atravelx Credit Note for 100% of the eligible amount actually paid, denominated in USDC.
- The 30% cancellation charge is waived when you choose Travel Credit instead of a refund.
- Credit can be used towards any eligible service booked through Atravelx: holiday packages, stays, flights, transfers, sightseeing, car rental, visa assistance and other eligible services.
- Travel Credit is non-cash. It cannot be withdrawn, exchanged for cryptocurrency or fiat currency, or transferred to another person, unless Atravelx agrees in writing.
- The validity period and expiry date are stated on the Credit Note.
- Prices at the time of the new booking apply. Travel Credit does not hold the same hotel, room, destination, dates, itinerary, supplier, activity, package or price.
- If the new booking costs more, you pay the difference in USDC. If it costs less, the balance stays on the Credit Note under its terms.
- Once you choose Travel Credit, the choice is final. It is not later converted into a refund.
Date Change Policy
- Request date changes 10 or more calendar days before the scheduled departure date.
- A date change is not guaranteed. It depends on hotel, transfer and activity availability, supplier approval, revised room rates, seasonal pricing, blackout dates, peak-season supplements, transport costs, fare differences, supplier amendment charges and revised itinerary costs.
- If the revised package costs more, you pay the difference in USDC. Supplier amendment or date-change charges may also apply.
- A date change is confirmed only when Atravelx confirms the revised arrangements in writing.
- Requests made less than 10 calendar days before departure depend on supplier approval and cannot be guaranteed.
- A postponement or date change is not a cancellation. It does not by itself create a refund or Travel Credit entitlement.
Bundled Holiday Packages
- Atravelx holiday packages are booked and priced as bundled travel arrangements made up of several interconnected services.
- Individual components of a confirmed package cannot ordinarily be cancelled separately.
- Removing a service does not automatically entitle you to a proportionate refund or Travel Credit.
- Any request to remove, replace or modify a component is treated as a package amendment, subject to supplier approval, availability, revised pricing, amounts recoverable and applicable charges.
- A value shown against an individual service does not mean it was separately contracted or can be independently cancelled.
Visa & Travel Documentation
- Travellers are responsible for a valid passport, the right visa, transit visas, entry permits, immigration documents, health documentation and any other paperwork required by the destination or a transit country.
- Visa decisions are made solely by the relevant government, embassy, consulate or immigration authority. Atravelx does not guarantee approval, processing time or appointment availability.
- A visa refusal, delay or failure to obtain a visa does not override the cancellation conditions unless Atravelx confirms otherwise in writing.
- Government, embassy, visa application centre, biometric, courier and processing fees may be non-refundable once paid or submitted.
Refund Processing & Timeline
- Atravelx acknowledges a cancellation request within 2 working days. Acknowledgement confirms receipt, not eligibility or amount. After reviewing the booking, Atravelx confirms in writing which services are cancelled, the refundable and non-refundable components, the deductions and the refund amount.
- Approved refunds are processed within 45 working days from the date Atravelx confirms in writing that the refund is approved.
- The 45 days do not run from the booking date, the date you first asked to cancel, or the departure date.
- Working days exclude Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays in the United States and India.
- Refunds are calculated and paid in USDC. The refund is the eligible package amount in USDC as shown on your invoice, less the cancellation charge and any supplier deductions.
- If you paid in another cryptocurrency, the refund is still the USDC value of the eligible amount at the time of payment, not the number of coins you sent. Atravelx is not liable for changes in the market value of any coin between payment and refund.
- Refunds are sent to the wallet address the payment came from, on the same network. If that is not possible, you may nominate another wallet, which Atravelx verifies in writing before sending. Atravelx is not responsible for funds sent to a wallet address you supplied incorrectly.
- If you paid by card or bank transfer through an Atravelx payment partner, the refund goes back to that payment method where the partner supports it. Otherwise another method is agreed in writing.
- Blockchain confirmations, payment partners, card issuers and banks may add time before the funds show in your wallet or account.
- Where Atravelx cancels a confirmed booking for reasons within its reasonable control, all amounts received for the cancelled services are refunded in full, initiated within 7 working days. An alternative itinerary or Travel Credit may be offered, but you are not required to accept it instead of the refund.
- An approved refund is not replaced with Travel Credit unless you expressly agree, or the supplier itself provides only a credit or voucher under conditions disclosed before booking.
Supplier-Specific & Non-Refundable Services
- Certain services carry their own cancellation, refund or amendment terms: airline tickets, visa fees, embassy, consulate and visa-centre charges, travel insurance, rail tickets and passes, cruise and ferry bookings, event, concert, sports and attraction tickets, special-event bookings, non-refundable hotel rates, supplier deposits and any service identified as non-refundable.
- Where supplier-specific conditions were communicated in the quotation, invoice, voucher, booking confirmation or service conditions before payment, those conditions apply to that service.
- Blockchain network fees paid when you sent your payment are not part of the package amount and are not refundable.
No-Show, Unused & Partially Used Services
- No refund or Travel Credit is ordinarily provided for: no-shows, cancellation after travel has commenced, voluntarily unused services, partly completed holidays, missed hotel nights, missed transfers, missed activities or sightseeing, missed trains or other transport, traveller delays, failure to report at the required time, services missed because of documentation issues, or services missed for reasons attributable to the traveller.
- If a supplier voluntarily approves a refund in an exceptional case, Atravelx passes on the recoverable amount in USDC under the applicable supplier and booking conditions.
Booking Acceptance
- By confirming a booking and making payment, you accept the cancellation, refund, date-change, bundled-package and Travel Credit conditions in this policy.
- Conditions stated in writing for an individual booking (quotation, invoice, voucher or booking confirmation) supplement this policy. Where a supplier's terms are stricter and were disclosed before payment, they apply to that service.
- A booking is governed by the version of this policy shown on the package page on the booking date, unless a later version is more favourable to you or Atravelx agrees otherwise in writing.
- For events beyond Atravelx's reasonable control (severe weather, natural disasters, epidemics, war, civil unrest, strikes, government restrictions, border or airport closures, supplier insolvency and similar), refunds, credits, postponements or alternatives depend on the affected supplier's policy and the amounts recoverable. Atravelx helps coordinate with the suppliers.
- Nothing in this policy restricts any statutory right available to a consumer under applicable law.
Frequently asked questions
Can quad biking be included?
Is this suitable for families?
Are adventure activities guaranteed?
Do Indian passport holders need a visa for Dubai?
Yes. Indian passport holders need a UAE tourist visa - there is no Schengen-style arrangement here. Most travellers use a 30-day e-visa, and 14-day and 60-day versions are also available. Holders of certain US, UK or EU visas or residence permits may get a visa on arrival, which we check for your case before you apply. We prepare and guide the documentation. We keep the visa fee out of the headline so the base stays as low as possible, and if you would rather we bundle it, just ask.
Are flights included?
No. This is a land package - the hotel, transfers, the two adventure days, the city tour and the listed entries only. You book your own international flights, or ask us to quote them separately for your city and dates. The figure on this page covers the five nights with breakfast, the private airport transfers, the desert and Hatta adventures, the old Dubai tour, the Dubai Frame, taxes and GST - everything on the ground except your flight.
How fit do I need to be, and is this suitable for beginners?
You do not need to be an athlete. The dune-bashing is done by the operator's driver, the quad bikes are easy to pick up with a short briefing, and the Hatta kayaking is on flat, calm dam water with stable kayaks - first-timers manage it fine. The trip is active rather than extreme. If anyone in your group has a back, knee or heart condition, tell us at enquiry and we will adjust the desert run or swap in a gentler alternative.
Is the desert safari the evening one with the BBQ dinner?
No - the included desert run is the daytime adventure safari: dune-bashing, a quad-bike ride and sandboarding, with no meal. We keep it mealtime-free on purpose, because it holds the price down, and no Atravelq package includes dinner. If you want the classic evening camp with the BBQ, the belly dance, and the shisha, we can add it as a paid upgrade, since that one includes dinner. Many groups do the daytime run included and add the evening camp as a one-off.
Is Hatta really part of Dubai, and how far is it from Dubai?
Yes. Hatta is a mountain exclave of the Emirate of Dubai, in the Hajar range, about 90 minutes to two hours by road from the city. It is genuinely part of Dubai, so this stays a one-base Dubai trip - you sleep in the city all five nights and visit Hatta on a full day out and back. The drive itself is part of the day, with the scenery turning from flat sand to real rock. Carry your passport or Emirates ID, as the road runs close to the Oman border.
Is any dinner included?
No. Daily breakfast only - no lunch and no dinner on any day, including the desert day. This is deliberate and the same across every Atravelq package. If you want an evening desert camp with a BBQ, or a dhow dinner cruise along the Creek or Marina, we add it as a paid upgrade and show you the new total. The city is full of places to eat, so lunch and dinner are easy to choose as you go.
Are the hotels confirmed and named?
No - the stay is shown as the 3-star category and the value Dubai neighbourhood we book in, not a held booking. Your actual hotel is named in your quotation before you pay anything. If the property we want is unavailable, we book a same-tier alternative in the same area and tell you before you pay. Because the desert and Hatta days are spent out of the city and both tours pick up from the hotel, we base you in a comfortable, well-connected 3-star rather than the costly centre - that keeps the price down without changing the trip.
When is the best time to go for the desert and Hatta?
November to March is the sweet spot - the desert is pleasant rather than punishing and the Hatta water and air are cool. April and October are workable shoulders. We would steer you away from June to August, when it is 45 degrees and over: the desert and the mountains are hard going by day and some operators pause midday runs for the heat. If summer is your only window, we can reshape the trip around indoor adrenaline - waterparks and Ski Dubai - and tell you so honestly.
What should I wear and bring for the desert and the kayaking?
For the desert, closed shoes, sunglasses, a cap or a light scarf against the sand, and clothes you do not mind getting dusty. For Hatta, quick-dry clothes and a change for after the kayak, plus water shoes or sandals with a strap. Sunscreen and a refillable water bottle for both. Keep valuables in a zipped bag - phones and the fine sand do not mix. We send a short what-to-pack note with your final itinerary.
Is vegetarian and Jain food easy to find?
Very. Dubai has a huge Indian community, so pure-vegetarian and Jain restaurants are everywhere, and Bur Dubai in particular has no-onion-no-garlic kitchens. On adventure days, carry a few snacks, as the desert and Hatta are outside the city and on-site food is limited. If you are strictly Jain, tell us at enquiry and we will send a shortlist near your hotel rather than leaving you to find out on the day.
Do we need to pre-book anything?
We pre-book the desert safari, the Hatta day, the city tour and the Dubai Frame for you, so those are locked in before you arrive. The only things that need an early heads-up are the optional add-ons - the Marina zipline, a skydive or a waterpark day - because the good slots sell out in winter. Tell us early if you want any of them, and we'll fit them into the plan and the quotation.
Will our phones work - SIM and data?
Yes. Buy a tourist SIM at Dubai airport from du or Etisalat on arrival, or set up an eSIM before you fly. Data is worth having for maps and for staying in touch with the operators on the adventure days - though in the deep desert and in parts of Hatta the signal does drop, which is normal. Hotel and mall wifi is everywhere in the city.
Can we add the zipline, a skydive or a waterpark?
Yes - that is exactly what the free day on Day 5 is for. The XLine Marina zipline is the crowd favourite, a skydive over the Palm is the big one, and Aquaventure or Wild Wadi make a great water day. You can also add a self-drive dune buggy, Burj Khalifa, or Ski Dubai. Each lifts the price, and we tell you by how much before you confirm - we leave them optional so the base price stays a low hook rather than carrying adrenaline you might not want.
Is this a good trip for a group of friends?
It is one of the best in our Dubai range for a group. The desert 4x4, the Hatta vehicle and the private transfers are split across the group, so the more of you travel, the lower the per-person cost - and the days are simply more fun as a four or a six. We can seat you together, quote a group rate, and set up the optional adrenaline as a shared squad booking. Tell us your numbers and dates.
