Tour Overview
Tokyo · Kyoto · Osaka · Nara — 8 Nights
This nine-day, eight-night autumn journey uses Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka as three hotel bases and visits Nara without another hotel change. Start among Tokyo's ginkgo avenues and landscaped gardens, travel west on the Tokaido Shinkansen, explore Kyoto's Higashiyama temples and Arashiyama riverside, and visit Nara Park before continuing to Osaka. One Kyoto evening is reserved for a seasonal temple illumination where opening dates allow. Local buses and rail are used for sightseeing; this is not a private chauffeured tour. Eight breakfasts, specified attraction admissions and listed rail transport are included; flights, visa fees, lunches and dinners are separate.
Book this Japan Autumn package with Atravelq for transparent starting pricing, a customisable itinerary, destination guidance and dedicated travel concierge support before and during your trip.

Airport rail into the city; easy neighbourhood walk
- ARRIVAL
- Land at Narita or Haneda. Follow the rail signs for your booked airport-to-city connection; the route depends on your hotel district.
- CHECK-IN
- Leave bags at reception if you arrive before check-in. The base package uses one Tokyo hotel for three nights, with a double-bed room subject to confirmation.
- EVENING
- Explore the streets around the hotel at your own pace. Keep paid observations decks and guided excursions optional after a long flight.
Tokyo - Discover the Heart of Japan’s Capital
3 nights in a connected neighbourhood, ideally placed for lively streets, gardens and historic Tokyo.
- Your Tokyo Base Spend all three nights in one hotel to explore at an easy pace without changing rooms. Ueno and Asakusa are preferred neighbourhoods, not confirmed locations.
- Room and Breakfast A 3-star value room with one double bed for two adults and breakfast each morning is budgeted, subject to the selected hotel’s written confirmation.
- Before You Travel Your quotation will identify the selected property, nearest convenient station, check-in conditions and cancellation policy before booking.
Arrive in Tokyo - A Smooth Start by Rail
Reach your Tokyo hotel from Narita or Haneda using the most practical airport-rail connection.
- Narita Airport Connection Narita to central Tokyo is around 60-90 km by route; rail journeys commonly take 40-90 minutes before the final hotel connection.
- Haneda Airport Connection Haneda is typically about 15-25 km from central Tokyo by route; airport-rail journeys commonly take 20-45 minutes before the final hotel connection.
- What Is Included A public airport-transport allowance is included. Private airport pickup is not included, and the best connection depends on the flight arrival and hotel location.
Tokyo - Golden Ginkgo and Autumn Gardens
A gentle introduction to Tokyo’s seasonal colour through elegant gardens and tree-lined city avenues.
- Garden Experience Visit Shinjuku Gyoen during official opening hours; its standard adult admission is included in the selected-garden allowance.
- Golden Ginkgo Walk Explore accessible public areas around Meiji Jingu Gaien, where colour and access depend on the season and local restrictions.
- Experience Style Enjoy flexible, self-guided exploration. Paid observation decks and private guides are not included.
DAY 02

- MORNING - MEIJI JINGU GAIEN

- AFTERNOON - SHINJUKU GYOEN

- EXPLORE NEARBY
- Use local rail to connect the two neighbourhoods and allow time for photographs and cafés.
Kyoto - An Autumn Retreat Among Timeless Temples
Three nights dedicated to Kyoto’s maple gardens, traditional streets and an atmospheric evening illumination.
- Your Kyoto Base A single hotel for three nights makes it easier to visit Higashiyama, Arashiyama and the historic centre. We prioritise useful rail or bus access rather than implying every attraction is walkable.
- Room and Breakfast The budget includes a 3-star value room with a double bed and breakfast, subject to written hotel confirmation. Peak foliage dates can restrict room choices.
- Stay Upgrades A traditional ryokan, higher-category hotel or special-view room can be quoted on request; these are not included in the base package.
Tokyo to Kyoto - The Shinkansen Experience
Travel from Tokyo Station to Kyoto Station on a reserved-seat Tokaido bullet train.
- Route and Travel Time Tokyo Station to Kyoto Station is approximately 476 km by rail; selected Shinkansen services generally take around 2 hours 10 minutes to 2 hours 40 minutes.
- Your Rail Ticket A reserved seat is budgeted. The final train and any oversized-luggage reservation requirements will be confirmed during ticketing.
- Why Not a JR Pass? This itinerary is mainly one-way. Individual rail tickets are usually better value than a nationwide JR Pass, which is not included.
Tokyo - Old-World Streets and Riverside Charm
Discover Asakusa’s temple atmosphere, local streets and a quieter side of the capital.
- Historic Asakusa Explore Senso-ji’s public precinct and the neighbourhood streets at your own pace, with time to browse shops and cafés.
- Local Connections Use the budgeted metro or local-rail allowance to move between selected neighbourhoods; a Suica or PASMO card may make eligible journeys easier.
- Optional Highlights Tokyo Skytree, teamLab and paid observatories can be added to a personalised quotation; they are not included.
DAY 03
Historic Tokyo and a relaxed evening
Asakusa, Senso-ji and Ueno ParkTOKYO

- RIVERSIDE AND SKYLINE
- See the Sumida River neighbourhood with optional Tokyo Skytree entry available separately, not in the base admission allowance.
- FLEXIBLE AUTUMN TIME
- If foliage is strong, spend longer in a public garden or park rather than rushing between districts.
Osaka - A Vibrant Finale to Your Japan Journey
Two comfortable nights to enjoy Osaka’s lively neighbourhoods before your onward flight.
- Your Osaka Base Stay in one well-connected Osaka property for two nights. Namba, Umeda or a comparable station-friendly area may be considered when confirming accommodation.
- Room and Breakfast A 3-star value room with one double bed for two adults and daily breakfast is budgeted; the actual property and services will appear on your confirmation.
- Departure Convenience We will consider the hotel’s link to Kansai International Airport when finalising the stay. Early check-in, late checkout and room upgrades are available only if separately confirmed.
Kyoto to Osaka - Discover Nara Along the Way
Break the intercity journey with a Nara Park visit before continuing to your Osaka hotel.
- Kyoto to Nara Travel from Kyoto Station to JR Nara Station, approximately 40-45 km and usually 45-60 minutes depending on the selected train.
- Nara Stop and Luggage Enjoy Nara Park and the Todai-ji area. Station lockers may be useful; baggage forwarding and porter services are not included.
- Nara to Osaka Continue from JR Nara Station towards Osaka, approximately 40-50 km and commonly 45-65 minutes by service. This route does not return to Kyoto.
Kyoto - Maple Temples and an Illuminated Evening
Explore Kyoto’s historic lanes before a carefully selected seasonal illumination after dark.
- Temple-Lined Walks Spend time in Kyoto’s Higashiyama district, with a realistic pace for autumn crowds and temple opening hours.
- Selected Admissions The package budgets selected temple or garden admissions, not unrestricted entry to every site or special exhibition.
- Autumn Illumination One eligible evening illumination is planned on Day 5. The exact venue and timed entry depend on the confirmed departure date and ticket availability.
DAY 04

Full policy details
Cancellation Policy
- 10 or more calendar days before departure: a 30% cancellation charge applies to the eligible package amount. Choose a 70% refund in USDC or 100% of the eligible amount as Atravelx Travel Credit.
- Less than 10 calendar days before departure: 100% non-refundable. No refund or Travel Credit is ordinarily issued.
- After travel commences, or no-show: non-refundable. No refund or Travel Credit is ordinarily available.
- Days are counted as calendar days to the scheduled departure date, in UTC (Coordinated Universal Time). The timestamp on your written request fixes when Atravelx received it.
- Cancellation requests must be made in writing through an authorised Atravelx channel: your concierge, info@atravelx.com or WhatsApp +91 92500 00511. A phone call alone does not cancel a booking until it is confirmed in writing.
- Quote the booking reference, the lead traveller's name and the services affected. Atravelx may ask for identity or payment verification before acting on a request.
- A reason is not needed to qualify under the 10-day window.
- Cancelling some travellers, rooms, nights or services is a package amendment, not a cancellation. It does not qualify for the 10-day refund or credit on its own, and it can change the per-person price for the remaining travellers.
Atravelx Travel Credit
- Travel Credit is issued as an Atravelx Credit Note for 100% of the eligible amount actually paid, denominated in USDC.
- The 30% cancellation charge is waived when you choose Travel Credit instead of a refund.
- Credit can be used towards any eligible service booked through Atravelx: holiday packages, stays, flights, transfers, sightseeing, car rental, visa assistance and other eligible services.
- Travel Credit is non-cash. It cannot be withdrawn, exchanged for cryptocurrency or fiat currency, or transferred to another person, unless Atravelx agrees in writing.
- The validity period and expiry date are stated on the Credit Note.
- Prices at the time of the new booking apply. Travel Credit does not hold the same hotel, room, destination, dates, itinerary, supplier, activity, package or price.
- If the new booking costs more, you pay the difference in USDC. If it costs less, the balance stays on the Credit Note under its terms.
- Once you choose Travel Credit, the choice is final. It is not later converted into a refund.
Date Change Policy
- Request date changes 10 or more calendar days before the scheduled departure date.
- A date change is not guaranteed. It depends on hotel, transfer and activity availability, supplier approval, revised room rates, seasonal pricing, blackout dates, peak-season supplements, transport costs, fare differences, supplier amendment charges and revised itinerary costs.
- If the revised package costs more, you pay the difference in USDC. Supplier amendment or date-change charges may also apply.
- A date change is confirmed only when Atravelx confirms the revised arrangements in writing.
- Requests made less than 10 calendar days before departure depend on supplier approval and cannot be guaranteed.
- A postponement or date change is not a cancellation. It does not by itself create a refund or Travel Credit entitlement.
Bundled Holiday Packages
- Atravelx holiday packages are booked and priced as bundled travel arrangements made up of several interconnected services.
- Individual components of a confirmed package cannot ordinarily be cancelled separately.
- Removing a service does not automatically entitle you to a proportionate refund or Travel Credit.
- Any request to remove, replace or modify a component is treated as a package amendment, subject to supplier approval, availability, revised pricing, amounts recoverable and applicable charges.
- A value shown against an individual service does not mean it was separately contracted or can be independently cancelled.
Visa & Travel Documentation
- Travellers are responsible for a valid passport, the right visa, transit visas, entry permits, immigration documents, health documentation and any other paperwork required by the destination or a transit country.
- Visa decisions are made solely by the relevant government, embassy, consulate or immigration authority. Atravelx does not guarantee approval, processing time or appointment availability.
- A visa refusal, delay or failure to obtain a visa does not override the cancellation conditions unless Atravelx confirms otherwise in writing.
- Government, embassy, visa application centre, biometric, courier and processing fees may be non-refundable once paid or submitted.
Refund Processing & Timeline
- Atravelx acknowledges a cancellation request within 2 working days. Acknowledgement confirms receipt, not eligibility or amount. After reviewing the booking, Atravelx confirms in writing which services are cancelled, the refundable and non-refundable components, the deductions and the refund amount.
- Approved refunds are processed within 45 working days from the date Atravelx confirms in writing that the refund is approved.
- The 45 days do not run from the booking date, the date you first asked to cancel, or the departure date.
- Working days exclude Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays in the United States and India.
- Refunds are calculated and paid in USDC. The refund is the eligible package amount in USDC as shown on your invoice, less the cancellation charge and any supplier deductions.
- If you paid in another cryptocurrency, the refund is still the USDC value of the eligible amount at the time of payment, not the number of coins you sent. Atravelx is not liable for changes in the market value of any coin between payment and refund.
- Refunds are sent to the wallet address the payment came from, on the same network. If that is not possible, you may nominate another wallet, which Atravelx verifies in writing before sending. Atravelx is not responsible for funds sent to a wallet address you supplied incorrectly.
- If you paid by card or bank transfer through an Atravelx payment partner, the refund goes back to that payment method where the partner supports it. Otherwise another method is agreed in writing.
- Blockchain confirmations, payment partners, card issuers and banks may add time before the funds show in your wallet or account.
- Where Atravelx cancels a confirmed booking for reasons within its reasonable control, all amounts received for the cancelled services are refunded in full, initiated within 7 working days. An alternative itinerary or Travel Credit may be offered, but you are not required to accept it instead of the refund.
- An approved refund is not replaced with Travel Credit unless you expressly agree, or the supplier itself provides only a credit or voucher under conditions disclosed before booking.
Supplier-Specific & Non-Refundable Services
- Certain services carry their own cancellation, refund or amendment terms: airline tickets, visa fees, embassy, consulate and visa-centre charges, travel insurance, rail tickets and passes, cruise and ferry bookings, event, concert, sports and attraction tickets, special-event bookings, non-refundable hotel rates, supplier deposits and any service identified as non-refundable.
- Where supplier-specific conditions were communicated in the quotation, invoice, voucher, booking confirmation or service conditions before payment, those conditions apply to that service.
- Blockchain network fees paid when you sent your payment are not part of the package amount and are not refundable.
No-Show, Unused & Partially Used Services
- No refund or Travel Credit is ordinarily provided for: no-shows, cancellation after travel has commenced, voluntarily unused services, partly completed holidays, missed hotel nights, missed transfers, missed activities or sightseeing, missed trains or other transport, traveller delays, failure to report at the required time, services missed because of documentation issues, or services missed for reasons attributable to the traveller.
- If a supplier voluntarily approves a refund in an exceptional case, Atravelx passes on the recoverable amount in USDC under the applicable supplier and booking conditions.
Booking Acceptance
- By confirming a booking and making payment, you accept the cancellation, refund, date-change, bundled-package and Travel Credit conditions in this policy.
- Conditions stated in writing for an individual booking (quotation, invoice, voucher or booking confirmation) supplement this policy. Where a supplier's terms are stricter and were disclosed before payment, they apply to that service.
- A booking is governed by the version of this policy shown on the package page on the booking date, unless a later version is more favourable to you or Atravelx agrees otherwise in writing.
- For events beyond Atravelx's reasonable control (severe weather, natural disasters, epidemics, war, civil unrest, strikes, government restrictions, border or airport closures, supplier insolvency and similar), refunds, credits, postponements or alternatives depend on the affected supplier's policy and the amounts recoverable. Atravelx helps coordinate with the suppliers.
- Nothing in this policy restricts any statutory right available to a consumer under applicable law.
Frequently asked questions
What is included in this Japan Autumn package?
Can this Japan Autumn itinerary be customised?
What is the best time to book this Japan Autumn tour package?
Does Atravelq help with visa guidance for Japan Autumn?
Which November dates are best for seeing Kyoto's autumn illuminations?
Eikando officially lists night visits from 20 November through 6 December 2026. We need one overnight stay in Kyoto during that period to include Eikando. If your chosen dates fall outside it, we must revise the included evening experience before confirming a booking.
Is the Eikando evening entrance definitely included?
The base includes a budgeted seasonal evening entrance. An actual ticket or entrance arrangement is not held. Eikando publishes same-day admission arrangements and capacity rules; if access cannot be confirmed, we will disclose this and agree on an alternative or adjustment.
Why do we stay in Kyoto for three nights?
Two full sightseeing days are valuable in late autumn: one for Higashiyama temple gardens and one for Arashiyama. A third night also improves the chances of fitting an officially operating night light-up without forcing a rushed transfer.
Do we need a nationwide Japan Rail Pass?
Not for this one-way route. A standard Tokyo-Kyoto Shinkansen ticket and local Kyoto-Nara-Osaka journeys cost substantially less than the nationwide seven-day ordinary pass, so the base uses individual tickets.
Which bullet train is planned from Tokyo to Kyoto?
The budget is for a reserved ordinary-class Nozomi service on the Tokaido Shinkansen from Tokyo Station to Kyoto Station, approximately 450-475 km by rail in roughly 2 hours 10 minutes to 2 hours 45 minutes depending on the timetable.
Will I need to change hotels for the Nara day trip?
No. Nara is a sightseeing stop as you move from Kyoto toward Osaka. This avoids a fourth hotel and reduces luggage packing, although lockers or baggage forwarding may be needed.
Can I use Suica or Pasmo for all trains?
No. These IC cards are useful on many participating metro and local rail services, but a separately reserved Shinkansen ticket is needed for the main intercity leg. Card acceptance can vary by route.
Which Tokyo foliage locations are part of the plan?
Shinjuku Gyoen is the principal paid garden stop. Meiji Jingu Gaien ginkgo avenue and Ueno Park are also planned public-area visits. Exact access can be affected by local crowd control and event restrictions.
Is a double bed confirmed at every hotel?
A double bed is the requested and priced room basis for two adults, not a promise against unsold inventory. We will show the actual room type in the final property quote and highlight any change before booking.
Does the package include international or internal flights?
No. This is a land-only quotation. International flights from India and any flights inside Japan are excluded and would be quoted separately if requested.
Do Indian citizens need a Japan tourist visa?
Indian passport holders generally need the appropriate Japan short-stay tourist visa or eVISA process via authorised channels including VFS. Atravelq helps organise documents; government and VFS fees are excluded and only Japanese authorities determine approval.
Can vegetarian or Jain travellers manage on this route?
Major stations and larger districts have vegetarian options, but strict Jain requirements can be harder because stock, sauces and cross-contact are not always obvious. We can share suitable restaurant research, while each kitchen must confirm ingredients directly.
How early should I book this Japan autumn package from India?
November in Kyoto attracts significant demand. We recommend confirming departure dates and hotels early; we then check the specific illumination calendar, reserved Shinkansen seats and any timed admissions for availability, rather than assuming entry is guaranteed.
Is October or November better for this Japan autumn itinerary?
The route still works as a sightseeing holiday, but Kyoto maple colours and Eikando's November illumination may not be available. We would adjust seasonal wording and replace the evening experience with an event verified for your exact October dates.
